The Maine Blue Ribbon 24 is a lap race on the beautiful Fryeburg Fairgrounds. Solo runners and teams of 2, 6, or 12 will enjoy breathtaking views of Maine forests and the White Mountains as they complete as many laps as they can around the fairgrounds within the 24 hour time limit.
All racers and teams will be provided with dedicated "camp" site within the confines of the fairgrounds' horse track. Each site will be big enough to suit the needs of the individual or team.
Food vendors will be on site for your dining pleasure. All racers will receive a pair of Maine Blue Ribbon 24 running socks!
Racing starts at 12 noon on Saturday with a shotgun start and concludes 24 hours later. Solo and team racers alike will all start together. Each lap will begin and end on the horse track and take the runners around the entire fairgrounds. A portion of the track will be the team transition area, while the infield of the track will be used as a staging area for all athletes and their teams.
Teams can consist of any combination of genders. Teams will compete against other teams of the same size, regardless of gender. Solo runners will compete according to gender.
The winners will be the solo runners or teams who complete the most laps in 24 hours. If there is a tie in laps, the fastest time to complete those laps will decide the winner.
